Our in-house butcher is a cut above the rest

If you’ve not already had the pleasure of meeting our in-house butcher Isaac, allow us to introduce you. With an infectious enthusiasm for the trade, any visit to R.M Prime Produce is sure to leave a lasting impression. 

Isaac grew up on a farm in North Otago, where his interest in butchery became apparent from a young age, but residing on a farm that processed its own meat was truly just the beginning. 

School holidays were spent at the local freezing works, where keen Isaac learnt the ropes, before relocating to Dunedin, where his career took flight. Having demonstrated his talents in the field, Isaac began entering butchery competitions that would take him all over the world. 

From claiming the accolade of ‘Young Butcher of the year’ not once but twice,  to competing for New Zealand at the ‘World Butcher’s Challenge’ in Sacramento, California, this maestro of meat has proved his skill amongst some of the best on the planet, and now, we’re lucky enough to have him right here, at Ayrburn.
